<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication terminal that solve the problems of increase in communication load and desynchronization of a key, even in a large-scale network. <P>SOLUTION: The communication terminal includes a long-term utilization key managing means of managing a master network key; a key identification information managing means of managing identification information of a key, used in a communication frame for utilization of security processing; a short-term utilization key acquisition means of generating a temporary network key, based on the master network key and the identification information of a key; a communication frame generating means of performing security processing using the temporary network key acquired by the short-term utilization key acquisition means to generate a secure communication frame; and a transmission means of transmitting a communication frame generated by the communication frame generation means to another communication terminal.
