<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a displacement, in a direction (Y direction) perpendicular to the light axis, of a core at an optical coupling section, furthermore to increase a coupling strength of a frame-shaped optical waveguide, in a coupling section of respective optical waveguides when the frame-shaped optical waveguide is formed by coupling a plurality of optical waveguides in a straight line or in a L shape. <P>SOLUTION: In a combined structure 10 of optical waveguides 11, 12, the optical waveguides 11, 12 are coupled to each other by inserting a convex joint 19 in an isosceles triangle into a concavo joint 18 in an isosceles triangle, to combine a perpendicular line pulled down from the vertex of the isosceles triangle to the base and the center lines of cores 13, 16 at an optical coupling section into the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
