<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for suppressing deterioration in the printing quality and the productivity, and for appropriately correcting the subscanning magnification. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus compares respective pixel data for each combination of two consecutive lines for each N line in image data and determines the combination of lines, having a large number of pixel data with the number of bits matching, as an object for correction of magnification. Furthermore, the image forming apparatus deletes one of the two lines, when the magnification is to be reduced in the determined combination of lines and inserts the line with respective pixels, having the average value of pixels corresponding to the lines between the two lines, when the magnification is expanded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
