<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation of carrying in/out a subject to be protected to a floating body, which floats on water in a disaster or the like, and also facilitate the floating body to be stored in a small storage chamber when not in use. <P>SOLUTION: An assembly type floating body for storing the subject to be protected includes a waterproof membrane-made box 6 opening upward, a plurality of rigid side-plates 10 which vertically extend, respectively, are arranged parallel to each other horizontally along the inner surface of the sidewall membrane 7 of the box 6, and are generally brought into contact with the inner surface of the sidewall membrane 7, and a rigid bottom plate 11 which extends along the bottom membrane 8 of the box 6, is fitted into a space surrounded by the bottom ends of the side-plates 10, and is generally brought into contact with the upper surface of the bottom membrane 8. The box 6 is retained in a predetermined shape by the side-plates 10 and the bottom plate 11.
