<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further more effectively enhance detection accuracy of a rotation amount detection member of a seat belt retractor. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission gear 24 is integrally rotatably provided on a rotation shaft 10a of a spool 10. A rotation sensor 15 is arranged in a radial direction of the rotation shaft 10a. Further, a gear 23 to be transmitted of the rotation sensor 15 is engaged with the transmission gear 24, and a speed-increase mechanism 25 for increasing a rotation speed of the spool 10 and transmitting it to the gear 23 to be transmitted by the gear 23 to be transmitted and the transmission gear 24 is arranged.
