<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a turbocharger, certainly closing a clearance between a turbine housing and an exhaust nozzle by a simple structure and improving sealability. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing device for the turbocharger includes an annular seal body 24 which has a fitted/fixed section 25 airtightly fitted and fixed to a stepped portion 22 formed facing a scroll passage 8 in the turbine housing 1 and a clearance facing portion 27 facing the periphery of the turbine housing-side exhaust introducing wall 9a of the exhaust nozzle 10 with a clearance S, and which is so configured that the clearance facing portion 27 is pressed into contact with the turbine housing-side exhaust introducing wall 9a by fluid pressure of the scroll passage 8 and flow passage resistance of fluid in the clearance S. The fitted/fixed portion 25 of the seal body 24 is formed with a slipping-out preventive 29 preventing the fitted/fixed portion 25 from being slipped out of the stepped portion 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
