PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus which saves space in comparison with a case where a tray type packaging apparatus and a non-tray type packaging apparatus are installed individually. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus 1 to package an article using a film includes a loading part 2 to load the article to be packaged, a sealing part 3 to package the article supplied from the loading part 2 using the film and a discharging part 5 to discharge the article packaged at the sealing part 3, wherein the sealing part 3 has a packaging means 801 to package the article 100 loaded on a loading table 10 using the film 50 without using a tray 201, packaging means 802, 803 to package the article 200 loaded on the loading table 10 while being placed on the tray 201 using a stretch film 82, and a selecting means 804 to switch between the packaging means 801, 803.
