<p>Press, redn., and therefore energy required, in moving an enclosed organic fluid, caused by internal friction and friction between the fluid and the enclosing walls, are reduced by mixing with the fluid 9.07-181 kg/3.78 m3 of an Al salt of a mono-aliphatically substd. orthophosphate ester, in which the aliphatic gps. are 1-20C alkyl gps. or 2-20C alkenyl or alkynyl gps. Underground formations, esp. oil-producing formations, may be fractured by injecting an organic fracturing liquid contg. these Al salts. At the given concs., gel-formation occurs and solid particles are held in suspension. The gelled liquid has no effect on water-sensitive formations, is not dependent on dilution with fluids in the formation, does not form a ppt., and has no harmful effect on the formations. The viscosity is constant over a wide temp. range, fluid loss can be controlled, and the system has good sand-carrying capacity.</p> |
