<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of at least one set of peptides in compositions and a method for modulating an immune response to one or a plurality of polypeptide antigens. <P>SOLUTION: A method for using a specific peptide antigen in a range of preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic applications is provided. The sequences in a respective set of peptides are derived in whole, or in part, from a single polypeptide antigen. Individual peptides in the respective set of the peptides comprise different portions of an amino acid sequence corresponding to the single polypeptide antigen and display partial sequence identity or similarity to at least one other peptide of the same set of peptides. Furthermore, there is provided the use of uncultured antigen-presenting cells or precursors thereof, which have not been subjected to activating conditions and have been contacted with an antigen, in methods and compositions for modulating immune response in a recipient of those cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
