<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control delay of communication which occurs due to shift to a power saving operation mode during operation of a LAN board. <P>SOLUTION: A network card 10 includes: a state detection part 18 for detecting whether a scanner device 30 is in a normal state in which power is normally consumed or in a power saving state in which power is reduced and consumed; a mode shift determination part 20 which, when the state detection part 18 detects that the network card 10 itself is in a normal state and the scanner device 30 is in a power saving state, determines whether the network card 10 itself is to be switched to the power saving state or not in accordance with the presence of instruction information instructed through a LAN 50; and a mode switching part 26 for switching the network card 10 itself to the normal state or the power saving state based on the determination of the mode shift determination part 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
