PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for informing a vehicle user of an association between information utilized when a vehicle route is searched and an environmental improvement effect. SOLUTION: In the navigation system, environment contribution information is generated in response to a deviationδ(k) between the total cost C1(k) of the first route RT(k) searched by using traffic information representing the magnitude of a cost required for a passage of each link and the total cost C2(k) of the second route RT2(k) searched without using the traffic information. The traffic information used when the first route RT1(k) to a target location TP(k) of the vehicle 2 is searched is utilized when a route to the common target location is searched by a navigation apparatus 200.
