PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve proof stress to vertical direction load in a vehicle body width direction center part of a cross member without increasing the number of parts and without taking time and labor for assembling the cross member. SOLUTION: In this cross member structure, the cross member 12 connected to right and left side sills is formed into a closed cross section shape including a hollow part 27, and a support part of a rear seat 18 is provided in a vehicle body width direction center part of the cross member 12. A floor panel 14 is extended toward the vehicle body front on a lower end side of a rear wall 25 in the cross member 12. A longitudinal bead 36d swelling a wall surface is press-molded in a vehicle body width direction center part of the rear wall 25. In the vehicle body width direction center part of the floor panel 14, a downward recessed surface part 30 forming a tunnel part 21 along a vehicle body longitudinal direction is press-molded to be opened toward a rear side of the rear wall 25.
