<p>Absorption of oils e.g. from a surface of water using a moulded article (pref. cylindrical or a mat which may be rolled into a cylinder) from a floating porous cellulosic material from a paper paste reinforced with elastic fibres which has been impregnated with a waterproofing agent e.g. (a) 0.20% silicone, 40-60% paraffin, at least 2% emulsifier and the rest a metal (a) stearate, or (b) 92-98 wt.% paraffin, the remainder being emulsifier.</p> |
