<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component suppressing the occurrence of appearance defects due to environmental variations by improving the durability of an optical thin film on a resin substrate against variations in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The optical component is composed by forming an optical thin film on a substrate. When the effective optical diameter of the substrate is defined as E (unit mm) and the radius of the curvature of the substrate is defined as R (unit mm), film stress σ (unit MPa) satisfies an expression (1) σ≤-30x when the absolute value x=¾E/R¾ of the ratio of E to R is in the range of 0 to 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
