<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a π electron-based conjugated polymer which is easily dispersed in a solution and also which can exist stably for a long time in the solution and which has a sufficient by low band gap and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A thiophene skeleton π electron-based conjugated polymer is exemplified by formulae (1) and (2).
