EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly introduce exhaust gas to a treatment face of an after-treatment device by introducing the exhaust gas in a uniform flow state toward the after-treatment device.

SOLUTION: A gasket 35 provided between an upstream cylinder 22 and a cylinder 32 for a filter is formed as a partition plate having a flat plate shape and a number of straightening holes 36 are perforated in a partition plate part 35A of the gasket 35. The respective straightening holes 36 are formed as a plurality of straightening holes 36A of a small hole diameter for decreasing a flow passage area of exhaust gas at a position close to a closed end of an inlet side silencer pipe 24 and as a plurality of straightening holes 36B of a large hole diameter for increasing the flow passage area of exhaust gas at a position distant from the closed end. The exhaust gas flowing into the upstream cylinder 22 is straightened by the respective straightening holes 36 of the gasket 35, forms an almost uniform flow and flows in the cylinder 32 for the filter on a downstream side.
