<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein the number of clock wires is increased when distributing clocks to an entire system by a clock common carrier leased line in a distributed processing system. <P>SOLUTION: A master system distributes a frame transmission request for synchronization to a client system simultaneously. The client system follows the frame transmission request for synchronization, and varies frame length for synchronization to be transmitted to the master system for absorbing deviation in a clock to establish synchronization in the entire system. A control line for controlling the transmission and reception of data is used when the frame transmission request is made for synchronization, and a frame for synchronization is transmitted, thus dispensing with the arrangement of the common carrier leased line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
