PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement control valve capable of effectively operating a variable displacement compressor.SOLUTION: This displacement control valve 1 mounted on a variable displacement compressor incorporated in the cooling cycle of a vehicle air-conditioner includes a valve element 12 for opening and closing a flow passage allowing the pressure regulating chamber and the discharge chamber of the compressor to communicate with each other. When a pressure Ps in the suction chamber of the compressor is lower than a preset threshold, or a pressure Pd in the discharge chamber of the compressor exceeds a preset threshold, the valve element 12 is opened to raise the pressure Pc in the pressure regulating chamber to a pressure equal to the pressure Pd in the discharge chamber.
