PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device in which a stable arc cut-off performance can be obtained, regardless of the direction of electric current, and size reduction is attained.SOLUTION: The contact device is provided with a contact block 3, consisting of a pair of fixed terminals 33 having a fixed contact 32 and a movable contactor 35 on which a pair of movable contacts 34 to contact and separate respectively from the pair of fixed contracts 32 are installed in a row in right and left direction on the upper face; a drive block consisting of an electromagnet block 2 and a movable shaft 5 to drive the movable contactor 35 so that the movable contacts 34 may contact and separate from the fixed contacts 32; and a pair of permanent magnets 46 which are installed mutually facing via the contact block 3 in the front and rear direction and are magnetized along the opposition direction, and a pair of first yokes 47 which are installed opposed to each end face of the movable contactor 35 in the arrangement direction of the movable contacts 34, and of which one connects the N poles of the pair of the permanent magnets 46 with the other connect the S poles of the pair of the permanent magnets in the direction of the movable contacts 34. |
