PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device which can simply adjust an inclination of an original conveyor and fixing a position after an adjustment simply and certainly, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A positioning mechanism 90 includes a rack 91 fixed on the top face of a second hinge member 87, a worm gear 93 engaged with the rack 91, a handle 95 rotating the worm gear 93 and a lever 97 pushing and fixing the second hinge member 87 to a first hinge member 85. In the lever 97, a cam 97a is formed integrally around a shaft 86, and the cam 97a is formed in an eccentric cam shape gradually changing an outside diameter from the shaft 86 to an outer peripheral surface. A large diameter 97aa having a largest outside diameter in the cam 97a is brought into contact with the second hinge member 87 under a state with the lever 97 pushed down. A distance between the shaft 86 and the second hinge member 87 is designed to be slightly smaller than the diameter of the large diameter 97aa. |
