PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fluorescent substances, in detail, to provide complex crystal fluorescent substances having high luminescence property and excellent thermal and chemical stability, and to provide light-emitting devices, surface light source devices, display and lighting installations using the same.SOLUTION: Based on one viewpoint, there is provided a complex crystal fluorescent substance which is an inorganic composition containing at least M element, Al element, silicon, oxygen and nitrogen, which inorganic composition has particles having at least two kinds of crystal phases which comprise a first crystal phase identical with MSiOcrystal and a second crystal phase of β-sialon crystal. Wherein, M may be at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba. |
