PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based coating composition having excellent storage stability of a colorant and capable of forming a coating film having good wettability and excellent adhesion to a highly hydrophobic substrate, such as a vinyl chloride resin and a polyethylene terephthalate resin.SOLUTION: The water-based coating composition includes: a binder obtained by mixing an urethane dispersion having an average particle size of 15-100 nm with an acrylic emulsion having an average particle size of 50-200 nm and a glass transition temperature Tg of 60°C or more, water, a colorant, and a solvent represented by general formula (1): R-O-(CH-CH(R)-O-)H (wherein, Ris a 1-6C alkyl group; Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and n is an integer of 1-3). |
