PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spline forming apparatus which can smoothly form spline teeth and can improve durability of a forming die and can repeatedly form a cylindrical component having spline teeth using only a small amount of a machining oil.SOLUTION: A lifter 4 forms a collar part 42 protruded on an outer peripheral side at a position below an insertion part 41 inserted into a spline forming hole 21. A sealing member 422 for filling a space between the outer periphery of the collar part 42 and the inner periphery of a holding hole 51 is provided on the outer periphery of the collar part 42. A spline forming apparatus 1 is constructed so that, at an original position 401 of the lifter 4 where the insertion part 41 is disposed within the spline forming hole 21, a machining oil M is filled into the spline forming hole 21 and a storage space 61 surrounded by the insertion part 41 and the collar part 42 and, when the lifter 4 is lowered together with a forming punch 3, the machining oil M is allowed to flow down into a holding hole 51 and a flow-down space surrounded by the insertion part 41 and the collar part 42. |
