PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool for preventing a crack from developing further even when a crack occurs, and for hardly breaking.SOLUTION: The cutting tool is formed of mutually combining a plurality of forming bodies made by different types of material, and having different material compositions and coefficients of thermal expansion from each other with a face parallel to an upper face of the cutting tool through an irregular engagement face. The cutting tool is configured to possess anisotropy in fracture toughness measured at a measurement position offset from a diagonal line of corners on the upper face. |
