PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclic guanidine compound which has excellent adsorption/desorption capability of carbon dioxide and can be inexpensively produced with a high yield.SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide adsorbent includes the cyclic guanidine compound, for example, 2-(1-butyl amino)-4, 5-dihydro-1H-imidazole, 2-benzyl amino-4, 5-dihydro-1H imidazole, 2-(1-butyl amino)-1, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro pyrimidine or derivatives thereof. The production method includes a reaction of an alkylthio cyclic amidine salt or a derivative thereof with an amino compound in a solvent having an ether-based aprotic polar solvent as a principal component. |
