PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heated/sterilized/dried plant prepared using aqua gas, and to provide a method for preparing the plant.SOLUTION: This method for preparing the heated/sterilized/dried plant includes low-invasively heat treating a plant after harvesting so as to suppress depletion of antioxidative component, suppress discoloring/fading, decrease the number of general live bacteria, and effectively evaporate moisture. In more details, the method for preparing the dried plant includes continuously jetting hot water and/or steam heated to 100°C or more into a heating chamber of semi-sealed space, heated to equal to or above the temperature so as to generate minute water drops and wet heat steam, replacing air in the heating chamber by the minute water drops and wet heat steam followed by filling with gas component having a composition of a humidity of not less than 95% and not more than 1% oxygen concentration and kept in a 90-180°C temperature zone, and performing heating/sterilization treatment by subjecting by the heating medium, a material to be heated to continuous amplitude heating with not less than 10°C temperature difference in the temperature zone so as to heat treat. A product of the dried plant is also provided. |
