PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear working machine capable of performing working of a gear at high accuracy by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The gear grinding machine for performing tooth alignment action prior to grinding includes: a work working rotation shaft 22 for rotating the work W1 at a work working position P2; a work rotation device 30 for rotating a tailstock 50 for holding the work W1 around a work rotation axis C2 between a work replacement position P1 side and the work working position P2 side and supporting it movably in the work rotation axis C2 direction; a tooth alignment rotation shaft 52 for rotating the work W1 of the tailstock 50; and a tooth alignment sensor 43 for detecting the rotation phase of the work W1 rotated by the tooth alignment rotation shaft 52. Before the work W1 of the tailstock 50 is arranged at the work working position P2, the rotation of the work tooth alignment rotation shaft 52 is controlled such that the work W1 becomes the rotation phase capable of being engaged with a screw-like grinding wheel 16 based on a detected result of the tooth alignment sensor 43. |
