Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for external use, comprising: (i) luliconazole represented by the following structural formula (1) and/or a salt thereof; (ii) alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof and (iii) ethanol. Also disclosed is the use of (i) luliconazole represented by the following structural formula (1) and/or a salt thereof and (ii) á-hydroxycarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof in the manufacture of a medicament for treating onychomycosis and the use of alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid for supressing the crystallisation of luliconazole.
