<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the consistency of contents of a memory copy origin and a memory copy destination even when there is memory write from an I/O device in memory copy for performing live migration or the like between computers. <P>SOLUTION: The data transfer device for connecting the computer and the I/O device includes an I/O switch in charge of connection between the computer and the I/O device and a memory copy part for performing the memory copy between the computers. The data transfer device monitors the memory write performed by the I/O device. The object address of the memory write and the progress situation of the memory copy are compared, and the memory write to an area where the memory copy is already performed is written to the computer of the memory copy destination as well by the data transfer device.
