<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information display terminal which can display a screen in an appropriate orientation even when the orientation of an user's face cannot be detected. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information display terminal 1 comprises: a liquid crystal display 10 which displays information; a frame with the liquid crystal display 10 lying on a surface thereof; a tilt sensor 53 which detects at least the usage state of the frame and the liquid crystal display 10 by detecting a tilt of the frame; a camera unit 11 which can image an user's face; a controller 51 which detects face orientation using a face detection function based on data on a user's face imaged by the camera unit 11 and which controls switching of the display orientation on the liquid crystal display 10 based on the results of face orientation detection and detection results from the tilt sensor 53. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
