<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite component and a method for producing the composite component. <P>SOLUTION: A composite component (10) includes: a carrier (12) made of a powder metal; and a wear-resistant body (14) including at least a certain portion embedded in the carrier (12) and made of a cemented carbide, wherein the cemented carbide body (14) is coated with metal at least at the certain portion.
