PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewfinder device capable of diverting an inexpensive video camera to a broadcasting video camera.

SOLUTION: A viewfinder device comprises: a control signal input part receiving control signal input including return signals; a video camera image input part receiving video camera image signal input from a video camera; an interrupting image input part receiving interrupting image signal input from an interrupting image source which is different from the mentioned video camera; an image selection part displaying either the image by the video camera image signals or the image by the interrupting image signals, based on the return signal status; a display control part controlling an image display selected by the image selection part; and a control signal output part outputting signals excluding return signals from the control signals.
