<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus which can deliver image data received when its destination is not active to the destination. <P>SOLUTION: The facsimile apparatus receives image data from a sender and delivers the image data to a destination. The facsimile apparatus comprises: a first receiving unit which receives an e-mail addressed to the apparatus from the sender through a mail server to receive image data included in the e-mail when delivery to the destination is available and which does not receive an e-mail addressed to the apparatus when delivery to the destination is not available; a second receiving unit which receives image data from the sender not through the mail server; a transfer unit which transfers the image data received by the second receiving unit to the mail server as an e-mail addressed to the apparatus when delivery to the destination is not available; and a delivery unit which delivers the image data received by the first receiving unit and the second receiving unit to the destination when delivery to the destination is available. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
