<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch which maintains a high level of insulation and obtains good insulation and voltage resistance characteristics when a fixed contact point is separated from a movable contact point. <P>SOLUTION: The switch includes: a case 10 having at least a bottom surface 17 and right/left side surfaces 19 to form a contact housing portion 11; a fixed contact 45 disposed in the contact housing 11; and a movable contact body 70 disposed in the contact housing portion 11 and having a movable contact 71 that contacts with or separates from the fixed contact 45. A scatter-suppressing member 250 is attached to the movable contact 71 so that the scatter-suppressing member 250 extends from the perimeter of the movable contact 71 and reduces the area where scattered powder, which is generated and scattered by arc discharge between the movable contact 71 and the fixed contact 45, falls on the side surfaces 19 of the case 10 around the movable contact 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
