摘要 <p>A data synchronization system which secures and effectively uses the band of a WAN, allowable delay, and other resources, according to the number and deployment of applications provided by each synchronization server. The data synchronization system is provided with synchronization servers, a synchronization control server controlling the synchronization servers, a plurality of transfer apparatuses, and a path control server. The synchronization control server receives setting request information which includes: the identifiers for the plurality of synchronization servers to which the applications using the synchronized data are connected; the data usage frequency of each application; the size of the data used; and the allowable delay until synchronization is completed. From this received information, the synchronization control server calculates the band and allowable delay for every path between the synchronization servers and transmits the results to the path control server to thereby make a path setting request. The path control server receives the path setting request from the synchronization control server, then generates and sets the setting contents of each transfer apparatus to construct a new path or update the band and allowable delay for an existing path.</p>
