<p>According to parent patent, coloured coatings of plastics base are prepd. by dipping articles heated to above the m. pt. or melting range of the plastics into the powdered plastics kept in a turbulent state by means of a gas stream, a mixt. of mica flakes coated with TiO2 and nickel-titanium yellow, possibly contg. cobalt blue, chrome yellow and/or mineral red, added as colourant to the powder, which may also contain fillers, diluents and softeners. In this addn. a blending agent to improved flow props. is added to the powder mixt. The agent is pref. a liquid, viscous polymer such as 'Modo flow' (Monsanto Europe SA). The mixt. obtd. can be spray coated on substrates by flame spraying or electrostatic turbulence and/or spray sintering.</p> |
