<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel display is arranged in parallel to an optical axis of a zoom lens. By detecting the movement of fingers sliding up and down in parallel direction to the optical axis of the zoom lens over the touch panel display, zoom-up and zoom-down operations are performed. By detecting the slide by one of two fingers simultaneously touching the touch panel display, shutter is being released. The direction of the optical axis and the touch panel display surface are determined on basis of a detection in gravity direction by a acceleration sensor, and from this, information on whether the image is taken in a landscape screen or a portrait screen and top-and-bottom information of the image are obtained, attached to digital image information, and stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
