<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a graphic display device not only to draw any shape desired by the user but also to analyze a plurality of shapes very simply. <P>SOLUTION: In a state in which a plurality of shapes (circles B and D) desired by a user are displayed in a color designated by the user (red), the shapes desired to be selected (circles B and D) and their color (red) can be collectively selected and assigned a selection mark m by designating the shapes and the color.
