METHOD FOR ASSESSING CONSEQUENCES OF SURGICAL CORRECTION OF COMPLICATED BENIGN BILIARY PATHOLOGY

A method for assessing the consequences of the surgical correction of the complicated benign biliary pathology consists in measuring postoperatively the concentrations of interleukin-1, immunoglobulin A and medium size molecules in the intraductal bile sampled through the external or nasobiliar drainage and in portion C (liver bile) in the course of the duodenal probing. When the content of medium size molecules exceeds the normal value, the detoxification capacity of liver is further assessed. When the content of interleukin-1 and immunoglobulin A exceeds the normal values, the threat of bacterial inflammation of extrahepatic ducts should be considered.
