摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing an optical film without generation of stress variation, film thickness unevenness, retardation unevenness, and dot-like failure by a solution casting film manufacturing method in which dope is casted on an endless support infinitely moving at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optical film manufactures the optical film by a casting process for forming a web by casting a dope film made by flowing the dope made by dissolving resin in a solvent on the endless metal support from an outlet of a die, and after peeling the web from the endless metal support, a solution casting manufacturing process having at least a stretching process, a drying process, and a winding process. The die has a pressure-reducing chamber on the upstream side. By the time when the dope film lands on the endless metal support from the outlet of the dope film, steam of the solvent is given to the pressure-reducing chamber at least near the landing point of the dope film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
