<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage treatment apparatus capable of reducing power consumption and controlling N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O discharge, and also capable of reducing CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>exhausted from a sewage treatment plant. <P>SOLUTION: The sewage treatment apparatus G1 treats the sewage by an activated sludge. The apparatus includes: a bioreactor 1 where the activated sludge is input and the entering sewage is treated by biological reaction; a redox potential measurement unit 4 for measuring the redox potential of the liquid in the bioreactor 1; an aeration unit 2 for supplying oxygen to the liquid in the bioreactor 1; and a first control unit 3 for estimating the generation amount of N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O gas in the bioreactor 1 based on the measurement of the redox potential measurement unit 4, and for controlling the aeration unit 2 based on the estimated value of the generation amount of N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
