<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program that are capable of designating a row of pixels or a column of pixels to be deleted without decoding encoded image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes encoding means that encodes image data in units of tiles each composed of plural blocks each having a predetermined size, and storage means that determines whether or not, in the image data, each tile includes a row of pixels or column of pixels to be deleted, and that, when the tile includes the row or column of pixels, stores, in header information of the encoded tile, deletion information indicating that the row or column of pixels in the tile is to be deleted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
