PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of calculating an audience rate without delay once communication restores even if no communication is temporarily available between a server and a communication device, in an audience rate arithmetic system.

SOLUTION: In the audience rate arithmetic system, each client repeatedly transmits the reception information including the information about a broadcasting station selected by a broadcast receiving part and the information about the time at which a broadcast program is received to a server while the broadcast receiving part is receiving the broadcast program. The server receives the reception information transmitted from each client (S210), and calculates audience rates for each time period and broadcasting station by sorting the respective reception information that has been received for each preset time period, and then stores the calculation result in a database as audience rate information (S220). In the audience rate arithmetic system like this, the server can calculate audience rates by utilizing only the reception information that has been received, since each client repeatedly transmits the reception information while receiving a broadcast program.
