PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing elastomer covered electric wire having improved terminal workability by improving detachability of a covered layer from a conductor, and a method of manufacturing the fluorine-containing elastomer covered electric wire.

SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing elastomer covered electric wire 1 of the present invention includes a conductor 10 and a covered layer 20 which is formed of composition containing 0.1-10 pts.wt. of fatty acid to 100 pts.wt. of tetrafluoroethylene-propylene copolymer and is provided on the outer periphery of the conductor 10.
