<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent registration of address information which cannot be used for transmission or can cause an erroneous transmission when registering address information using information indicating a communication partner in received data. <P>SOLUTION: A data communication device includes: a communication section; a storage section for storing address information; a display section for displaying an address book screen listing address information and a transmission destination information registration screen which serves as an input screen for storing additional address information; an input section for receiving address information input; and a processing section for processing data. When address information is registered in the storage section based on sender information which is included in data received by the communication section from the outside and indicates a sender, the processing section removes a portion predetermined to be unnecessary from the sender information and adds a predetermined code.
