MEMORY DEVICE WITH SECURITY FUNCTION AND SECURITY METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A memory device with a security function and a security method thereof are provided to block various access attempts by limiting disk recognition and data access with a disk level. CONSTITUTION: A disk area(200) stores user data and includes a file system configuration. A CDFS(Compact Disc File System) area(100) is automatically recognized when a memory device is connected. A recognition unit is formed on the CDFS area and is automatically executed. The recognition unit decodes the encoded boot code and a FAT(File Allocation Table) from a security backup area of the disk area through user authentication and applies the decoded boot code to the file system of the disk area.
