PURPOSE: An electrode for an electric double layer capacitor and a method of manufacturing an electrode are provided to maximize electrostatic capacity by enabling a solid electrode to have a high density and a low resistivity. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for an electric double layer capacitor and a method of manufacturing an electrode is comprised of steps: providing electrode composition including a spherical phenol resin group carbonization activated charcoal of 55~60 weight%; obtaining a solidified conductive electrode material using a dispersing medium in an electrode composition; and manufacturing the electrode with the electrode material.
