METHOD OF PREDICTING PATH FOR LOST DATA IN GPS

PURPOSE: A method of predicting a path for lost data in a GPS(Global Positioning System) is provided to prevent a GPS from offering a non-existing road as a predicted path. CONSTITUTION: A method of predicting a path for lost data in a GPS is as follows. A candidate path containing the coordinates of the start and end points of a lost section is extracted(S310). The similarity between the lost section and the extracted path is calculated(S320). A path for the lost section is predicted based on the similarity(S330).
