PURPOSE: A socket including an IC receiving plate is provided to prevent an abnormally electric contact due to the misalignment of a top pin of a socket contact and an IC terminal ball. CONSTITUTION: A bottom plate(31) is combined with the lower side of a top plate(41). A plurality of spring contacts(35) flow between the top plate and the bottom plate. An IC receiving plate(50) is located on the top plate. A plurality of springs(60) elastically support the IC receiving plate upwardly. The IC receiving plate includes one or a plurality of movable guide pins(56). The top plate includes one or a plurality of movable guide pin holes(46).
