PURPOSE: A remote control type optical visibility meter is provided to improve convenience in maintenance of visibility observation facilities and observation networks through remote control of processes for pollution prevention and removal. CONSTITUTION: A remote control type optical visibility meter comprises a light emitting part(20), a light receiving part(30), a control operation device, and a transmitting and receiving device. The light emitting part and the light receiving part are respectively embedded with a light emitting element and a light receiving element and installed on both ends of a support beam(50). The control operation device controls the light emitting element and the light receiving element and processes measured values. The transmitting and receiving device is connected to the control operation device to transmit measured values and receive control signals. An ultrasonic oscillator is installed in the light emitting part or the light receiving part and connected to an oscillator circuit, which is connected to the control operation device. The ultrasonic oscillator is oscillated according to the control of the control operation device and the driving of the oscillator circuit.
